The world’s biggest short-play theatre festival is back again in Chennai! This year the festival will begin on the 5th of July and will run for four weeks, till the 30th of July. Prakriti Foundation and the Blu Lotus Foundation in association with the Alliance Française de Madras present this year’s festival. 72 plays have been shortlisted for theShort and Sweet Theatre Festival South India 2017. This festival is managed by PS Events and Eventjini is the ticketing partner. The annual sponsors are HDFC Mutual Fund and Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund. The prize sponsors are Amdavadi and Mangala Heritage. The sound Partner is Zebronics. The Gala will take place on the 29th and 30th of July. The Gala prize sponsors are Silkworm Boutique and Studio Bassam.
There are 10 plays in the Top 40 for Week 1. All the plays will be performed on 4 days - 5th, 7th, 8th & 9th of July from 7-9pm . The plays are as listed below
